Christmas was a quiet day stitching… a little laundry but mainly just enjoying my honey and Molly too!

And I rolled the quilt this week not once….

Showing close ups of these two areas…

Before rolling again yesterday!!!!

From this angle you can’t see what REALLY excites me though….

I am in no client imposed deadline…. but seeing this reminds me her Birthday is January 26… and Valentine’s is soon after so if I could finish and bind this in time she could have it then! Oh how exciting!!!!
Link up your hand stitching or check out other hand stitching fun over at Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching Linky <<< HERE where I will be linking this post up to… as well as my facebook page 🙂
And more excitement…. I have been straightening my sewing room and came across this darling rooster I bought and cut out and Connie put together then I added the outer border…. but it has no place in our cabin… so it needed a home that suited me and Connie BOTH….

Holli Jo my nail consultant and good friend *and Connie’s too* said she would love to have it… I mailed it off on the 20th and it was there before Christmas and she is thrilled to finished this flimsy wall hanging for her new “barn do”… a barn they are turning into more of a Condo on their farm of many acres in KY now that they are retired from the Navy!
To celebrate finding the rooster a home I put on fresh nail polish strips…. these came from Holli Jo too!

While I finished all that quilting and in between changing my polish… I listened to Jenny Doan’s autobiography…. Y’all it is a MUST READ or LISTEN on Audible like I did 🙂

Something to focus on….

My honey accepted an order to make another barn quilt for indoors like this one….

He is excited to start on it! Did YOU have a Merry Christmas too whatever you did???? I sure did as laid out above 😀

I would be honored if you got this far if you left a message on what you did this holiday season…. whatever you celebrate share the name and what you did to celebrate the holiday near and dear to YOU! I look forward to reading and replying to your comments too! Happy end to 2021 !

Oh how wonderful that you can see the finish of that pretty quilt coming in the near future! So glad you found someone who loves that rooster quilt. Your nails look fabulous! That is another great barn quilt. I know I love mine!

The end of the quilting and being able to take it off the frame and see the entire thing laid out is always such a wonderful milestone.
It was a quiet Christmas here. I went over to dinner with my son and his family. Including my daughter in law’s mom; we are both widows and the kids always invite us to holidays. Merry Christmas to you!

I’ve really enjoyed seeing your beautiful quilting on the heart quilt. It really would be wonderful for your client if you were able to finish it before her birthday. Can you do that without too much stress for you?
I’m glad you had a good Christmas. Mine was very quiet, but I did spend a couple of hours with my daughter and her family, watching a movie.

So close to finishing your quilt!!! The rooster EPP turned out lovely, so nice it found a home. I bet it looks great in their barn condo. I spent Christmas flying home from Phoenix with our daughter. After we got home, she and the farmer watched the Suns/Golden State Warriors basketball game then stayed up and watched the Colts/Cardinals game which finished around 11:30 our time. I went to bed, I was wore out from traveling. Happy stitching into 2022!

it was quite here, just a simple lunch with our daughter and then she went home to do Xmas with her husband’s family and we were outside playing in the dirt (lol – the garden) planting tulip bulbs while hubby was working on one of his many outside projects. – more nice weather this week I will be outside or inside working on a border for the last RSC quilt that I want finished this year

Great progress on your quilt! How exciting to see the end almost near. We had pizza dinner here with family and opened gifts and stockings on Christmas Eve, and then Christmas day we went to my daughter’s house for a prime rib dinner. This afternoon I think we are all going bowling, though my brother and dear SIL left at 4 am this morning to head back to Southern California. Happy Stitching and Happy New Year!

Congrats on quilt and Rooster gift. We are being lazy and relaxing in Rockport Tx. We have been here since the 22nd and will go home on the 30th. We stay at The Lighthouse where we rent a King Suite. We love the 3rd floor room. It has a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. All large rooms. The balcony is our favorite. We watch the fishing boats go out into the bay each morning from the balcony. There is a private pier we love to go and sit and watch the Pelicans and Sea Gulls.
All in all it has been a great vacation. We were here for a week in November and will probably spend more time here in 2022!
