In the Home Stretch …

The Wedding Quilt for my son and his bride to be is almost done y’all!

Molly is always near by…

I am binding the last side now so by the time you read this I should be whip stitching down the hanging sleeve for it πŸ™‚ That is THE LAST STEP before washing and wrapping for presentation on Valentine’s I am hoping πŸ˜€ Linking this awesome progress to Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching HERE << Come see her working on her oldest UFO πŸ™‚

So how did I make this happen you ask?

Me and my Cleopatra sewing early morning in the living room πŸ˜‰
How my honey prefers I set up temporarily … lol!

So when I took their wedding quilt off the frame to move the refrigerator there when the new one came in…

Then the bar is finally in place and getting polyurethane coated for durability.

Slowly we are making this place ours… and feeling more and more like this is it πŸ˜€

Hope you have a blessed Sunday and find something in this crazy world to be grateful for.

Excellent on getting close to a wedding quilt finish especially while settling in your new-to-you home. Proof that if one keeps working at something every day, it’ll get done. I like the beadboard on the island.

I’m looking for a picture of the completed wedding wallhanging next Sunday. I’m glad the new house is feeling like home. As each week passes, you’ll get more ‘stuff’ sorted through and discarded. Happy stitching!

your kitchen is shaping up! it looks like you had more room for eating at a “bar” then room for a table – it looks really nice and the perfect size for you and gives you additional work room also for meal prep

You will be finished with time to spare, in spite of moving and decluttering and all sorts of other stuff. You might be Super Woman in disguise…Are you sure there is no cape hanging in your hall closet?! 😘

How wonderful that the special wedding quilt will soon be finished. I am amazed you have managed this with moving and all at the same time. I am looking forward to seeing it once you gift it.

It is kind of exciting to be setting up a new household. Love your motto for the coming year. I chose one word….imagine! Imagining all the things I can do and make this year while in lockdown because of this virus.
